DECHEM studio was founded in Prague in 2012 by Michaela Tomiskova and Jakub Jandourek. They met at the Novy Bor School of Glass where they both fell in love with the oldest synthesized material in human history. While Michaela continued her studies at AAAD Prague (Prague Academy of Arts) and later worked for many famous design studios, Jakub continued honing his skills in the lighting industry, specializing in glass finishing, technology, and manufacturing. Since founding DECHEM studio, they have focused on product design, with a special focus on glass.
