An architect by training, a designer by conviction, a painter by vocation, and a writer out of a desire to make friends, Oscar Tusquets is the prototype of the well-rounded artist that the specialization of the world has been leading to extinction.
Born in Barcelona in 1941, he graduated as an architect from the city's Higher Technical School of Architecture while also attending the Llotja School of Arts and Crafts. He worked in the studio of Federico Correa and Alfonso Milá alongside Lluís Clotet.
A member of the now-defunct Studio Per, he created With Lluás Clotet, he created his first architectural projects, including the Fullà House, the Georgina Belvedere, and the Pantelleria House. In 1975, together with his teacher and friend Salvador Dalí, he designed the Mae West Room at the Teatre-Museu de Figueres. At the Maestro's express wish, he was named a Lifetime Trustee of the Gala Foundation — Salvador Dalí.
