Knot, a collection of majestic pendant lights, contrasts two different materials, two different notions: soft curves in hand-blown clear glass against the austerity of a thick rope. The resulting design is striking, direct, and dignified at the same time. Full-bodied globes of varying shapes and sizes are traversed by a sturdy rope that ends in the collection's central design element, the knot, which seemingly pulls the bottom of the glass inward for a disconcerting plastic effect. The LED light source is mounted beneath an elegant stamped metal hood and protected from below by a hand-blown opal diffuser. Another metal component serves to cap the end of the rope. Knots are well suited to public and private interior spaces and make a particularly striking statement above dining tables.
