Beyond its function as a lamp, Dipping Light seeks to excite. When lit, it's fascinating: its different shades of paint filter the light, creating a magical effect in the environment. When unlit, it transforms into a colored glass sphere, an object with a profound aesthetic significance. Dipping Light began as an experiment—dipping a lit light bulb repeatedly in paint—but it becomes a lamp. Thus, the various layers of paint draw concentric circles and trap the light, attenuating its intensity. In the hanging version, Dipping Light is stripped back to its bare essentials; color takes center stage. Therefore, when creating a composition with several, the visual effect is mesmerizing. It is available in four different sizes: 12, 20, 30, and 40 cm.
