The study was founded in 1990 during the workshop of the Vitra Design Museum, directed by Denis Santachiara. At that time Michal Fronek and Jan Nemecek were studying Architecture at AAAD Prague (Prague Academy of Arts). Jan had a car and took them to the workshop in Switzerland, and that's how he started. a 25-year collaboration. They focus on industrial, interior design, and reconstruction of historic and industrial buildings. Professor Michal and Jan currently run the Design Atelier at AAAD Prague, inspiring and influencing the generation of young Czech talents. They have become ambassadors of Czech design. His work has been featured in prestigious gallery collections and in museums such as the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
