Bertjan Pot is a designer, probably best known for his Masks and Random Light (1999). The light began as a material experiment, which is basically the beginning of every product created by Studio Bertjan Pot. The result is usually an interior product, displaying a fascination with techniques, structures, patterns and colours. Most experiments start quite impulsively out of some curiosity about how things might work or what something might look like. From there, Bertjan takes on challenges with manufacturers to explore possibilities and push boundaries where he can. Each challenge brings a new reward. Studio Bertjan Pot works with companies such as Arco, Cassina, Febrik, Hay, Nike and Susan Bijl.
