Ay Lin Heinen and Nelson Sepúlveda are the lead designers at Ay Illuminate, a Dutch lighting manufacturer looking for materials with a soul; empowers artisans in their own, often hard-pressed, communities; and produces casually elegant and highly unique accessories in the process. Ay Lin co-owns the company with her husband Casper Heinen, and has been a driving force in developing the remarkable relationships they have developed with artisan communities from the beginning.
Nelson has been equally ambitious in this area since joining the company. To the company, his desire to develop lighting products that break new ground in terms of design knows no bounds.
